Who We Are

The tutoring program offers adults free, confidential, one-to-one and small group instruction in reading, writing, math, English/ESL, and preparation for the high school equivalency exam (HiSET®). Volunteer tutors receive training and ongoing support as they work in partnership with their students to reach individual educational goals.

Individual Tutoring

The heart of the program lies in one-to-one tutoring. Meetings with the volunteer tutor are confidential and happen at a time and public place that is mutually convenient. Many adults find they flourish with the personalized attention they receive.
